Sarah Thebarge is the author of The Invisible Girls, a memoir that weaves her story of having breast cancer together with the story of a Somali refugee family who befriended her when she was recovering from treatment. All of the profits from the book are going into a college fund for the five Somali girls she wrote about. When she's not writing or speaking about her experience, Sarah enjoys hiking, getting beaten at Scrabble, and experimenting in the kitchen (with varying degrees of success). She currently lives in Southern California.
