Jake Levine is the energy and technology advisor to California State Senator Fran Pavley. He was formerly Director for Strategy and Chief of Staff at Opower, Inc., a technology company whose mission is to give everyone, everywhere, the information, control, and motivation they need to save energy. Prior to joining Opower, Levine served in the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change, where he worked on a host of innovative energy policies, including the most stringent fuel economy standards ever set -- and the first-ever greenhouse gas emissions standards for cars and trucks. Levine served as a member of President Obama's delegation to the U.N. Conference of Parties in Copenhagen, served on the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee, and during the 2008 presidential campaign, traveled with Senator Obama to more than 20 states and Europe, managing the national press corps. Prior to his appointment in the Obama administration, Levine served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Committee for the Environment and Public Works. Levine graduated cum laude from Harvard College, and received his law degree from Harvard Law School.
