NEW YORK: Princess from @reboundhounds was found back in June by the New York police with a ruptured pyometra, a severe and life-threatening condition (infection of the uterus). The kind, caring officers saw her medical distress and took her to the vet, instead of the city shelter, in the hopes to save her life. It was tight: 24h or 48h later, Princess' sepsis would have set in. This lucky gal received all the medical attention she needed, and is now healthy and ready for a home! She is currently being fostered on Long Island, and doing great! Princess checks all the boxes: well-behaved, gorgeous, affectionate. Good with kids too. She is a very sweet pittie girl who will give you gentle kisses. She walks great on leash, is quiet, calm, obedient and cuddly. She loves sniffing around and exploring life during her walks. Her needs for exercise are quite moderate. She gives paw and catches treats! She does great when left alone at home, and is non-destructive (something that now cannot be said for a certain MacLovin anymore... but I digress...). She is also crate-trained and doesn't mind car rides. Princess is good with other dogs when on the leash (actually seeking contact, softly whimpering and wagging her tail), but when off leash she gets all awkward, and she has showed signs of discomfort around other dogs. She just doesn't know what to do. For that reason, at this time she is recommended as an only dog at home. It's most probably lack of exposure and socialization, and we think it will be fixable with proper introductions and training. But it's best not to jeopardize her chances at this time. She's been at the pet store and ignored other dogs barking at her, and has sat next to chill dogs as if they weren't there at all. Princess is also stunning! She has the cutest beauty mark on her upper lip (call her Madonna!) and she has a luscious coat. Very soft and shiny, beautiful color. Although she is pretty young (2 years old), she has nothing left of a crazy puppy phase! She really is perfection! PHOENIXVILLE, PA: Roose (formerly known as Zeus) came to @miamianimalserv as a stray in bad physical condition (hair loss, filthy ears, etc.) and with an injury to his eye. He was rescued and saw a vet ophthalmologist, in the hopes of saving his eye, but the damage was too great so he's now a one eyed wonder boy. Roose made his way to Pennsylvia with @mainlineanimalrescue a few months ago, and has been waiting for a home since. In Florida, Roose loved taking car rides and sitting by ocean after a long walk. He was very energetic and enthusiastic, making friends everywhere he went. Roose can be dog-selective, something MLAR is now working on. He just loves the company of humans. Losing his eye hasn't slowed him down at all, and he's adjusted really well. He now loves to play and run on the hiking trails of PA, before jumping on your laps to shower you with kisses. If you would like to find out more about Roose, please contact Main Line Animal Rescue at adopt@MLAR.org, or visit www.mlar.org. . . #pitbullflowerpower #photographysaveslives #adoptdontshop #endBSL #oneeyeddog @urgentdogsofmiami 💚
